During the meeting, the strategic plan for New Suez City was discussed. The Minister of Housing underscored the city’s importance due to its unique location along the Suez Canal corridor, which enhances investment opportunities in maritime activities. He also noted that its proximity to major urban centers such as Cairo, the New Administrative Capital, and Suez City increases the demand for administrative and residential facilities. Moreover, the city’s closeness to industrial zones and seaports strengthens container handling capabilities and supports free trade.

Various projects aimed at achieving the strategic vision for New Suez City were presented. The Minister elaborated on land use proposals per the strategic plan, including establishing residential areas, transportation networks, infrastructure, and zones for economic activities and services. He also provided a detailed overview of the status of land belonging to the General Authority for Tourism Development in the area facing the city, along with updates on tourism sector projects in Ain Sokhna, which include tourist villages, resorts, and beaches.

After the meeting, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly stressed the importance of developing the infrastructure and facilities of New Sphinx City while focusing on giving it a distinct identity with entertainment and tourism components. Given its proximity to Sphinx Airport, the Pyramids, and the Grand Egyptian Museum, he instructed that the strategic plan for New Suez City be updated to transform it into a fully integrated residential city with high-quality housing units catering to various income levels, outstanding recreational areas, and an upgraded coastal frontage.
