Speaking to Extra News, Khattab emphasized that Egypt’s urban development strategy now includes scenic promenades in multiple cities, such as:
- Cairo – The Ahl Misr Walkway along the Nile
- Aswan – A redesigned promenade along the river
- New Alamein – A modern coastal walkway
- New Damietta – A revitalized waterfront area
Additionally, 55 kilometers of walkways have been completed within the Green River Zone in the New Administrative Capital.

Khattab explained that the walkway designs follow unified standards to accommodate:
- Pedestrians, joggers, and cyclists
- Rest areas and parking facilities
- Retail spaces and public amenities
