Head of the Tourism Villages Authority Inspects Key Projects

Dr. Engineer Mohamed Khalaf Allah, Head of the Tourism Villages Authority, conducted an inspection tour of several projects, including three water desalination plants, infrastructure, and roadworks in various areas. He was accompanied by senior officials from the authority.

Desalination Plants Near Operational Readiness

The inspection included reviewing final preparations for the trial operation of desalination plants at Marina 1 and Marina 2, each with a capacity of 5,000 cubic meters per day, and the Marbella plant with a capacity of 2,000 cubic meters per day. These plants are set to become operational soon, coinciding with the advanced progress in upgrading water reservoirs in these areas.

Road and Bridge Development

Dr. Khalaf Allah also inspected the progress of the second phase of road and bridge upgrades, including the enhancement and expansion of Road 22 and the provision of parking spaces. This project, valued at EGP 200 million, has reached an advanced stage.

Additionally, he reviewed ongoing work on the expansion of Bridges 3 and 4 at the entrance to Road 22, which are at an intermediate completion stage.

Progress on Water Infrastructure

Further inspections covered the upgrading of sewer pipelines and water reservoirs in Marina 5, both of which are nearing advanced completion.

Commitment to Quality and Safety

Dr. Khalaf Allah emphasized the importance of adhering to quality standards, safety, and occupational health requirements. He also instructed contractors to expedite the work while ensuring the relocation and protection of utilities affected by the projects to enable timely completion of roadworks.

This comprehensive development effort underscores the authority’s commitment to enhancing infrastructure and services across Egypt’s tourism villages.
