Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, issued demolition orders targeting unauthorized constructions and violations in three new cities: New Mallawi, New Damietta, and New Borg El-Arab. These actions are part of an ongoing effort to curb informal developments and prevent urban sprawl.
The orders included the removal of building violations on Plot No. (11/11) in Phase 1 of the Coastal District and Plot No. (1/A) located north of Neighborhood 13 in the Third District. Additional violations were identified on Plot No. (13/11) in Phase 1 of the Coastal District and on Plot No. (2/A) in the North Clubs area of the Second District in New Damietta. These infractions involved constructions without permits or deviations from approved permits.
In New Mallawi, encroachments on land owned by the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) were ordered to be removed. These areas included plots measuring 11.18, 66.49, 10.49, 21.57, 89.10, and 6.06 feddans, all seized without legal authorization.
Similarly, in New Borg El-Arab, 17 cases of violations were reported in the Green Belt area, involving unauthorized use of land owned by NUCA.
The minister directed city authorities to implement these demolition orders with the support of the Construction Police, ensuring compliance and restoration of order within these cities.
These measures reaffirm the Ministry of Housing’s commitment to regulating urban development, safeguarding public land, and fostering sustainable city planning.
