Engineer Abdel-Raouf El-Ghaiti, Head of the Development Authority for New Cairo City, announced the completion of asphalt paving in all roads within the Gardenia 2 neighborhood. A total of 18 roads have been completed, covering an area of 75,000 square meters, with road widths ranging from 10 to 11 meters and a total length of 7,142 meters. Additionally, curb and interlock work for pedestrian sidewalks has been finalized, with 46,250 meters of curbs installed and 52,500 square meters of interlock paving completed.
These projects align with the directives of Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, to accelerate development and improve services for residents in new cities.
In parallel, Engineer El-Ghaiti met with representatives of residents from Gardenia Heights 1, 2, and 3 to discuss challenges they face and hear their suggestions and demands.
During the meeting, El-Ghaiti instructed officials to facilitate the procedures for connecting natural gas to residential units in Gardenia and to address any outstanding issues within the authority’s responsibilities. These efforts underscore the commitment to enhancing the quality of life for residents and advancing urban services in New Cairo.
