Inspection Tour Highlights Progress in “Geneifa” Expansion Area in Al-Shorouk City

Engineer Mohamed El-Sayed Abdel-Maksoud, Head of the Al-Shorouk City Authority, conducted an inspection tour alongside authority officials in the “Geneifa” area, one of the city’s new expansion zones. Located to the left of Entrance 3 (Ismailia Road) on the Cairo-Geneifa Regional Road, the area lies behind the International Medical Center and in front of the “Heliopolis” station on the Light Rail Transit (LRT). The visit focused on monitoring ongoing works for the implementation of infrastructure networks, including road grading and water systems.

Progress Update:

  • Road Development: Internal roads and entrances are being prepared to define the initial layout of the area according to the approved detailed plan.
  • Water Network: Installation of the water network has reached 30% completion, marking significant progress in the project.

Purpose of the Project:

The project aims to develop land plots with various investment opportunities, including integrated urban development, service areas, and commercial investments.

Directives from the Head of the Authority:

Engineer Abdel-Maksoud instructed the supervisory team to maintain close field monitoring of the works and urged the contracting company to increase machinery and workforce to ensure the project was completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

The development of the Geneifa area is a step toward achieving the desired urban growth and enhancing the city’s investment potential
