Eng. Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, reviewed the key achievements of the New Shorouk City Authority across various sectors in 2024. These accomplishments focused on enhancing citizen services, implementing housing projects, improving infrastructure, and beautifying neighborhoods, fostering a favorable environment for investments.

- Land Allocation and Licensing:
- Successfully allocated 1,050 plots of land to beneficiaries after resolving ownership statuses, issuing handover reports and building permits.
- Issued over 1,000 building permits while simultaneously addressing construction violations.
- Housing Projects:
- Completed and delivered hundreds of residential units as part of the “Sakan Misr” and “Janna” housing projects.
- Delivered 380 units in Sakan Misr and 40 units in Janna to eligible citizens.
- Infrastructure and Services Development:
- Developed and serviced lands in newly added areas, including roads, electricity, water, sanitation, irrigation networks, and landscaping.
- Educational Facilities:
- Completed a 33-classroom school on a total area of approximately 5,670 m². The building includes a ground floor and three additional stories, reflecting the authority’s commitment to improving education services.
Additional Housing Developments:
Eng. Mohamed El-Sayed Abdel-Maksoud, Head of the New Shorouk City Authority, announced the completion of five residential buildings comprising 120 fully finished apartments within the Sakan Misr project. Six more buildings are under construction, with plans to begin work on an additional 11 buildings, bringing the total to 114 buildings with 2,736 units.
These efforts are part of the Ministry of Housing’s comprehensive development strategy to meet the needs of both citizens and investors, aligning with the national vision for sustainable development.
