Production Ministry and Housing Ministry Discuss Collaboration on National Projects

On Sunday, December 22, 2024, Engineer Mohamed Salah El-Din Mostafa, Minister of State for Military Production, received Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, at the Ministry’s headquarters in the Government District of the New Administrative Capital. Officials from both ministries attended the meeting.

The Minister of State for Military Production began by welcoming the attendees and reviewing the progress of joint projects, particularly those under the presidential initiative “Hayah Karima” (“Decent Life”). These projects include water and sewage infrastructure, which are being executed by Military Production companies for the Housing Ministry through the National Authority, the Executive Authority, and the Holding Company for Water and Wastewater. Minister Salah emphasized that “Hayah Karima” is a crucial national initiative directly impacting Egyptian citizens’ quality of life and living standards.

He highlighted the continuous coordination between the ministries to expedite the implementation of joint projects, including 691 projects under the “Hayah Karima” initiative across various governorates. These efforts aim to ensure compliance with quality standards while addressing potential challenges during execution. Salah reiterated Military Production’s commitment to optimizing resources and advancing local manufacturing capabilities in alignment with the state’s policies.

Minister Sherif El-Sherbiny affirmed his ministry’s dedication to closely monitoring the progress of collaborative projects, ensuring swift resolutions to any obstacles. He praised Military Production’s vital role as a cornerstone of Egypt’s defense industry and a significant contributor to national development. He also called for expedited timelines for water and sewage projects under “Hayah Karima” to deliver benefits to millions of rural citizens promptly.

Both ministers underscored their alignment in supporting rural development and improving citizens’ lives through high-quality, efficient project execution.
