On Friday, an extensive meeting was held under the leadership of Engineer Tarek El Refai, Assistant Minister of Housing for Utilities, with the participation of Engineer Magdy Attallah, Chairman of the Drinking Water and Sanitation Company in Damietta. The meeting also included the attendance of Engineer Tarek Gamal El Din, Head of the West and East Port Said City Authority, Engineer Yasser Arafat, Head of the West Port Said District, and several administrative and executive leaders.
The meeting focused on the development of drinking water and sanitation services in the villages of “Al-Mansara,” “Al-Jaraba,” and “Al-Diba” in the West Port Said region. Following the meeting, a field inspection of Al-Mansara and Al-Jaraba was conducted with all relevant stakeholders, allowing them to review the current situation.
The meeting concluded with several key points, including the necessity for the Damietta Water Company to continuously provide vacuum trucks and the urgent need for the maintenance and repair of water pipes. Additionally, a proposal was presented to establish a new water pipeline, 500 meters long.
Engineer Magdy Attallah also conducted a field visit to the Al-Mansara water lift station to ensure the smooth operation of its activities and stressed the importance of preventing any service interruptions.
This meeting is part of the Ministry of Housing’s ongoing efforts to develop and improve public utility services in the West Port Said region and to enhance the quality of drinking water and sanitation services.
