Al-Obour City Authority Conducts Inspection Campaigns on Commercial Establishments to Enforce Compliance

Ahmed Rashad, Head of the Al-Obour City Development Authority, has reaffirmed the ongoing efforts to inspect commercial establishments across the city, emphasizing the importance of daily monitoring and removing obstructions from public pathways.

A recent large-scale campaign, led by Engineer Alaa Hammad, Deputy Head of Development, and supervised by the Development and Security Departments, as well as the Authority’s Closure and Eviction Committee, aimed to enforce closure and sealing orders for unlicensed commercial properties. This effort was supported by the Municipal and Reconstruction Police.

Engineer Alaa Hammad reported that the campaign executed 40 closure and sealing orders for unlicensed businesses in the Ninth District, targeting violations that obstruct public spaces and fail to comply with civil defense standards. Additionally, 25 closure orders were carried out in the First District, and further action was taken to clear vendors from around youth district shopping centers.

Rashad directed relevant departments to execute these campaigns decisively and ensure strict legal enforcement against violators. He urged business owners to adhere to licensing requirements to avoid penalties, highlighting that these operations will continue regularly to maintain Al-Obour City’s modern and organized appearance and prevent the spread of unregulated activity.
