Egypt Conducts Seventh Land Allocation Lottery in New Obour City for Qualified Applicants

Cairo – Egypt’s Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, Sherif El-Sherbiny, announced that the seventh manual lottery for land allocation has been conducted in New Obour City. The lottery was held for clients who had paid the necessary deposits by September 12, 2024, covering the areas within the former Al-Amal Association in New Obour City.

This initiative is part of the government’s broader efforts to expedite the formalization of land allocation in newly established cities, ensuring a smooth legal process in line with national standards. The program aligns with Egypt’s sustainable development goals to meet citizens’ demands for residential land and provide adequate housing.

Ahmed Ismail Gaber, Head of the New Obour City Development Authority, emphasized the lottery’s importance in fairly distributing land parcels. The plots vary in size from 209m² to 500m² and are part of an ongoing effort to ensure transparency and justice in land distribution. Gaber added that the authority is committed to swiftly transferring these lands to eligible citizens by ensuring all essential preparations for handover are completed.

The New Obour City initiative reflects Egypt’s commitment to providing citizens with secure housing solutions, fostering an inclusive approach to urban expansion and sustainable growth.
