On Sunday, Engineer Abdel Raouf El-Ghaity, Head of the New Cairo Development Authority, conducted an inspection of the Janna residential compound and the Egypt Housing project at the Exhibition Grounds in the third settlement area. He was accompanied by officials from the city and project management teams.
This visit aligns with the directives from Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Sherif El-Sharbin, emphasizing the importance of regularly monitoring ongoing projects in the new cities.
During the inspection, El-Ghaity stressed the need for maintaining cleanliness, landscaping, and overall site coordination at both projects and all housing initiatives in general. He highlighted the importance of ongoing communication with residents and addressing their concerns within the authority’s capacity, aiming to ensure maximum comfort for the city’s inhabitants. He also underscored the necessity of monitoring any violations within residential projects to preserve the aesthetic quality of developments under the New Urban Communities Authority.
El-Ghaity announced that the registration for the Janna and Egypt Housing projects in New Cairo is open from October 27 to December 26, with 700 units available under the “Egypt Housing” scheme, ranging in size from 106 m² to 133 m², and 409 units in the “Janna” compound, with sizes varying from 100 m² to 150 m².
The tour continued with a review of utility works in the Second Settlement, previously known as the Southern Extension, focusing on the development of infrastructure and roads.
El-Ghaity concluded his visit at Wastewater Pumping Station 12, which will serve the Andalus area in the third settlement. He emphasized the need to intensify efforts to complete the station’s construction as swiftly as possible and called for attention to the finishing touches on the station’s façade and fencing to ensure they complement the area’s urban design.
