Minister of Housing Inspects Final Preparations at Al Manara International Conference Center for World Urban Forum

This Friday morning, Egypt’s Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, reviewed the final preparations underway at Al Manara International Conference Center in anticipation of the World Urban Forum (WUF), which will run from November 4 to 8.

El-Sherbiny emphasized Egypt’s commitment to delivering a well-organized and high-quality event, as the WUF is the second most prominent gathering on the United Nations’ calendar, following the UN Climate Change Conference. He noted that collaboration among ministries and relevant agencies aims to showcase Egypt’s urban development achievements to the world, maximizing the benefits of this significant international event.

During his inspection, the Minister toured the accompanying exhibition, which will feature participation from 52 countries and 115 exhibitors, including international and local organizations. The Egyptian pavilion, covering an area of 1,500 square meters, will present contributions from various Egyptian ministries and 11 real estate developers. Additionally, a dedicated space will highlight Egypt’s role in supporting development across the African continent.

The pavilion will spotlight Egypt’s urban transformation efforts, particularly the initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of life for its citizens. Key displays will include housing projects of various types, fourth-generation cities, and Egypt’s commitment to green, sustainable urbanism. There will also be showcases of public-private partnership projects, allowing investors and real estate developers to present their projects to a global audience.
