New Amendments to Building Reconciliation Law Simplify Procedures for Citizens

Mohamed Attia El-Fayoumi, Head of the Housing Committee in the House of Representatives, has announced amendments to the executive regulations of the Building Reconciliation Law to facilitate citizen compliance. El-Fayoumi shared the updates in an interview with TV host Sayed Ali on the program Hazrat Al-Mowaten on Al-Hadath Al-Youm channel.

The amendments include removing the technical committee deposit requirement and eliminating the need for certification related to determining the building’s jurisdiction. Additionally, the requirement for obtaining specific building coordinates from administrative authorities has been canceled, easing the procedural burden on citizens. Instead, individuals now only need to submit a declaration ensuring the building’s compliance with civil protection standards.

To further support citizens, reconciliation application centers have been equipped with a standardized pricing map, providing transparent and clear information about the fees associated with each reconciliation application. These updates mark a significant step in streamlining the reconciliation process for building violations.
