CEO of Social Housing Fund Denies Pensioners’ Housing Announcement Rumors

Mai Abdel Hamid, CEO of the Social Housing and Mortgage Finance Fund, has refuted circulating rumors regarding a new housing announcement specifically for pensioners. She clarified that the fund is instead focused on collaborating with the private sector to build 10,000 housing units for low-income citizens.

On the topic of green architecture, Abdel Hamid confirmed that the new offering under the “Housing for All Egyptians” initiative will not include housing units from the green architecture initiative. However, she emphasized that green building practices will positively impact energy conservation and environmental preservation in the future.

These remarks were made during an open forum hosted by the Housing Committee at the Egyptian Journalists Syndicate, where Abdel Hamid discussed the latest updates related to the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians” and the upcoming housing announcement for low- and middle-income citizens.
