Cairo – The Ministry of Housing has launched its largest offering of housing units in recent years, according to Amr Khattab, the ministry’s spokesperson. Applications for the units will open on October 27 and will remain available for a month. Khattab confirmed that the offering will be fully electronic, with applications and the housing catalog accessible through the “Masaken” website, allowing potential buyers to view available units in person before applying.
Speaking on the Cairo & Al-Nas TV program, Hadith Al-Qahira, Khattab noted that the housing units are ready for immediate handover, with unit sizes ranging from 100 to 150 square meters. Prices for the units vary by location and size, with prices ranging between 8,000 and 15,000 EGP per square meter.
Khattab emphasized that all citizens will have the opportunity to apply, and the selection process will be based on a lottery system, rather than on a first-come, first-served basis. Additionally, 5% of the total units will be reserved for individuals with special needs. To ensure a smooth application process, strong internet infrastructure has been established to prevent system crashes during registration.
This offering marks a significant initiative in the Ministry of Housing’s ongoing efforts to provide quality housing solutions for Egypt’s growing population.
