Minister of Housing Inspects Progress on “Marina 8” Project at New Lake in Marina Alamein

Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, Eng. Sherif El-Sherbiny, recently reviewed the progress of the “Marina 8 on the New Lake” project, located south of Marina Alamein Tourist Center. Accompanied by Eng. Amin Ghonaim, Deputy Head of the New Urban Communities Authority for Development and City Development, and Eng. Khaled Sorour, Head of the Tourist Villages Authority, the Minister also examined ongoing developments and upgrades to the Marina Alamein Tourist Center.

Minister El-Sherbiny emphasized the importance of adhering to the project’s deadlines while maintaining the highest standards of quality. He set a target to complete the external finishes of the project by the end of March and finish landscaping and site coordination by the end of June, ahead of the summer season. He stressed that all work must reflect the significant scale of development underway in the northwestern coastal region.

Details of the “Marina 8” Project

The “Marina 8 on the New Lake” project spans 250 acres and includes a variety of villas, twin and townhouses, chalets, and apartment buildings. Additionally, the project incorporates essential infrastructure, roads, landscaping, residential buildings, green spaces, and water features such as swimming pools and fountains. The multi-level design ensures that all units have views of the new lake.

Inspection of the “Blue Side” Tourist Promenade

Minister El-Sherbiny also inspected the construction of the “Blue Side” tourist promenade in Marina 5, which covers an area of 22.5 thousand square meters. The promenade will feature retail outlets and recreational spaces, with 10% of the area dedicated to commercial spaces. It will also include parking areas and green spaces. In addition, the Minister reviewed the expansion of the road in Zone 22, which is being widened to three lanes in each direction, along with the addition of parking spaces.

These developments are part of a broader effort to enhance Marina Alamein’s appeal as a premier tourist destination, ensuring the region remains a hub for high-end living and tourism on Egypt’s northwestern coast.
