Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, announced that nine decisions have been executed to remove all encroachments, obstacles, and building violations on several plots of land in the Sheikh Zayed City expansions. These actions were taken in accordance with Presidential Decree No. 77 of 2017, and the campaign was conducted in coordination with the Ministry of Interior.
The minister reaffirmed that no settlements will be made for building violations that occurred after the issuance of Law No. 187 of 2023, which pertains to the reconciliation and regulation of certain building violations and its executive regulations. He urged citizens with building violations that fall under the scope of the law to submit their reconciliation requests by November 4, 2024, the final date for applications.
Eng. Marwa Hussein, Head of the Sheikh Zayed City Authority, clarified that these violations included unauthorized construction of walls and buildings on service roads parallel to the Cairo-Alexandria Desert Road on plots numbered (27, 356, 316, 145, 283, 374, 305, 30, 28 / 77/2017).
Eng. Marwa Hussein emphasized the city’s commitment to enforcing legal measures to deter any entities or individuals carrying out unauthorized activities, stressing the importance of protecting state property and ensuring the rights of citizens and the state alike.
