Engineer Sherif El-Shorbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, inspected the progress of the “The Zen” wellness and therapeutic tourism project in New Aswan City, located in the villas built as part of the city’s riverside tourism developments. The inspection took place during his tour of Aswan Governorate.
During the visit, the minister and his accompanying delegation toured various components of the “The Zen” project, which is focused on therapeutic and wellness tourism. Officials from the company managing the project provided a detailed briefing, highlighting that the project offers high-level services that rival global standards. They have also engaged with leading international tourism companies to position “The Zen” as a top destination for wellness and therapeutic tourism.
Accompanying the minister on the tour were Dr. Sayed Ismail, Deputy Minister, Dr. Amr Lashin, Deputy Governor of Aswan, Engineer Amin Ghoneim, Deputy Head of the New Urban Communities Authority for Development and City Development, Dr. Mohamed Hassan, CEO of the Drinking Water and Wastewater Regulatory Agency, and Engineer Ahmed Abdel-Azim, Head of New Aswan City Authority, along with other officials from the ministry.
