Housing Minister Tours Development Projects in New Aswan City

On Monday, Dr. Sherif El-Shorbiny, Egypt’s Minister of Housing, inspected several development and service projects aimed at providing high-quality services in the housing and utilities sector. He was accompanied by Engineer Amr Lashin, the Deputy Governor of Aswan.

Minister El-Shorbiny began his tour by visiting the New Aswan City Authority to assess the implementation of the digital transformation plan designed to deliver electronic services to citizens.

He also inspected the drinking water purification plant in New Aswan City to monitor the operational status of the facility, including the SCADA system for control and monitoring, the laboratory associated with the plant, and the various stages of water purification.

During the visit, the Minister and the Deputy Governor reviewed the progress of residential units currently under construction as part of the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians” in New Aswan City.

Additionally, they followed up on the operation of “The Zen” project, which focuses on therapeutic and wellness tourism located within the villas constructed as part of the river tourism developments.

The visit concluded with an inspection of the drinking water station in the Abu Sabira area, where the Minister ensured the quality and purity of the water and reviewed the daily analysis processes being conducted.
