Housing Minister Emphasizes Ongoing Campaigns to Remove Building Violations in New Cities

Egypt’s Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, Eng. Sherif El-Sherbiny, reaffirmed the government’s commitment to intensifying efforts to remove building violations and illegal encroachments across several newly developed cities. He stressed the importance of upholding the rule of law and taking strict measures to deter violators, emphasizing that the government will take decisive action to eradicate urban irregularities and preserve the aesthetic and structural integrity of these cities.

The minister also made it clear that no reconciliation will be accepted for any building violations committed after the issuance of Law No. 187 of 2023, which governs the reconciliation of certain building infractions and regularizing their status. The law’s executive regulations, along with its amendments, are being strictly enforced.

El-Sherbiny urged citizens with applicable building violations to submit reconciliation requests promptly, as the final deadline for applications is set for November 4th.
