The New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA), under the Ministry of Housing, has approved a two-month extension for collecting small residential land plots, excluding “Ebni Betak” lands. This extension applies to plots from the “Beit Al Watan” project for Egyptians abroad, which were previously canceled due to non-collection.
According to Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, the extension will be granted under the following conditions:
- The extension period begins from the date the land is ready for collection.
- The plot must be vacant and not have been reallocated or offered to others.
- All lawsuits related to the land against NUCA or the city’s governing body must be dropped.
- Any outstanding payments for the land, including applicable fees from the due date to the payment date, must be settled before the new collection deadline.
Dr. Walid Abbas, Vice President of NUCA for Planning and Projects and the Minister’s Office Supervisor, clarified that the extension does not affect installment schedules. It also excludes small residential plots that have been resold at current market prices and fully paid for, as well as lands in the “Ebni Betak” program where payments have not been refunded.
These conditions aim to facilitate land collection while ensuring financial obligations are met by landowners.
