The Board of Directors of the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA), chaired by Engineer Sherif El Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, has approved a two-month extension for the receipt of small residential land plots, excluding “Ebni Betak” lands. The extension also includes plots from the “Bait Al Watan” project for Egyptians abroad, which were previously canceled due to non-receipt.
Minister Sherif El Sherbiny stated that this extension is subject to several conditions: the implementation period will begin from the date the land is ready for receipt, the land plot must be vacant and not reallocated or reassigned to others, any legal disputes filed against NUCA or the relevant city authority must be dropped, and any outstanding payments for the plot must be made, including interest from the due date to the payment date. The outstanding amounts must be paid by the deadline for receiving the land.
Dr. Walid Abbas, Vice President of NUCA for Planning and Projects and Supervisor of the Minister’s Office, clarified that these measures will not delay the payment schedule for future installments. Additionally, the extension does not apply to small land plots that have been reallocated at current prices and for which payment has already been completed. Furthermore, it does not apply to “Ebni Betak” lands, and no refunds should have been issued for the land in question.
