The specialized departments of the Development Authorities in 6th of October, Sheikh Zayed, and Obour cities have conducted extensive campaigns to remove building violations and unauthorized activities in various areas. These efforts were carried out in collaboration with local police forces, in response to directives from Engineer Sherif El Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, to address any construction violations in the new cities.
In 6th of October City, under the leadership of Engineer Mohamed Mostafa, Head of the City Authority, monitoring efforts resulted in halting and removing violations in nine units that were being converted into studios in Plot No. 577, District 1, Third Neighborhood. Two electricity meters were also disconnected. Additionally, immediate action was taken to stop and remove illegal construction activities increasing the built-up area in Plot No. 16, Services Center for Districts 5 and 6, known as Agyad Mall.
Engineer Mohamed Mostafa emphasized that these removals were supervised by Engineer Ahmed Namour, Deputy Head of the Authority, Engineer Mohamed Abdel Nasser, Assistant to the Head, and Mr. Wael Ghazi, Director of Removals, alongside the city’s security personnel.
Similarly, in Sheikh Zayed City, a campaign led by Engineer Marwa Hussein Amin, Head of the City Authority, in cooperation with the police, resulted in the removal of unauthorized columns in Plot No. 163, District 9, Neighborhood 1, and additional columns for illegal construction in Plot No. 206, District 16. Furthermore, wooden rooms built atop an approved roof in Plot No. 79, District 7, were also dismantled, and legal action was taken against the violators.
In Obour City, under the supervision of Engineer Ahmed Rashad, Head of the City Authority, daily campaigns across various neighborhoods revealed building violations in several residential plots. Immediate removals were executed in Plot 1, Block 18019, District 9, Plot 27, Block 19034, and Plot 12, Block 19014, District 4.
City officials urged residents to adhere to the established construction regulations in new cities, warning that violations would result in legal consequences. They reaffirmed their commitment to continuing these campaigns to eliminate unregulated activities and preserve the orderly appearance of the new urban areas.
