Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing and Utilities, announced that resolving land-status issues remains a top priority for regulating state land management. He emphasized the importance of accelerating regularization procedures and achieving a balance between the rights of citizens and the state.
The minister explained that the current period is witnessing improved file-review processes thanks to daily monitoring systems designed to increase completion rates. Meanwhile, Eng. Ahmed Ali, Deputy Head of the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA), stressed the commitment to maintaining organization and expediting file evaluations to prevent backlog accumulation, with a strong focus on asset management and supporting sustainable development.

In line with the Minister’s directives, Dr. Ahmed Amara conducted an inspection tour in El Shorouk City to follow up on the regularization of land plots. During the tour, he reviewed the files under progress and the advancement percentages in newly added areas such as Al Rabya and Al Salam. Additionally, cases of misuse or failure to develop land were analyzed, and it was announced that violations would be canceled immediately to safeguard state resources.
Eng. Bassam Mohamed Fadl presented an intensive plan to accelerate work in El Shorouk City by dividing operations into two daily shifts to enhance performance and quality. In New Obour City, a meeting led by Dr. Ahmed Amara addressed updates on land regularization files and discussed the challenges faced by the working teams.
The meetings concluded with an emphasis on continuing efforts to achieve urban stability and protect citizens’ rights in a manner that supports comprehensive development across the new cities.
