The Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities has announced the closing date for submitting applications to reserve Free Housing Units in several new cities, set for December 15. This offering comes as part of the second phase of the ministry’s largest-ever housing project, which aims to provide around 400,000 residential units across multiple stages.
In this phase, the ministry has offered 1,680 units within the Free Housing Project in New Suez City, in addition to 264 units in the Rawdat Al-Obour Project in Obour City, with a booking seriousness payment of 151,000 EGP for each unit.
Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, confirmed that this offering aligns with the ministry’s efforts to implement the directives of the political leadership to provide suitable housing for all citizens. He explained that the ministry is working to supply diverse units that meet the highest quality standards across new cities, supporting the vision of comprehensive urban development for the New Republic.

To apply for Free Housing Units, interested applicants can register via the Official Egyptian Real Estate Platform. The application process begins on November 16, 2025, and continues until December 15, 2025. Below are the application steps:

After the application phase, an internal review period begins from December 16, 2025, to January 3, 2026, during which the submitted information is verified through the Official Egyptian Real Estate Platform. Notifications will be sent to applicants who do not meet the eligibility criteria.
The listed prices are subject to increases of up to 20%, depending on unit size and features. A maintenance deposit is required upon receiving the unit and is calculated as a fixed percentage of its value, alongside annual maintenance fees paid in advance to ensure adequate returns for the maintenance fund in the following years.
Finally, the authority covers the costs of preparing essential utilities for the units, including gas, electricity, and water, in accordance with the terms of the contract and the handover procedures.
