The New Obour City Development Authority launched a campaign to demolish five illegal buildings within the Ahmed Orabi Association as part of efforts to protect urban planning and combat encroachments.
The action was carried out after all legal procedures were exhausted and warnings were issued with no response. The campaign took place with the participation of the Licensing, Development, and Security Departments, and with the support of the Reconstruction Police.

Engineer Mahmoud Murad affirmed that the authority firmly confronts illegal construction in line with the Ministry of Housing and the New Urban Communities Authority’s plan to uphold the state’s authority and prevent any activities carried out outside the law. He also warned citizens against dealing with unauthorized entities in the sale or subdivision of land, emphasizing that such contracts hold no legal validity.
In conclusion, the head of the authority noted that campaigns will continue to preserve the city’s civilized appearance and support sustainable urban development in accordance with Egypt’s Vision 2050.
