In implementation of the directives of Eng. Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, regarding confronting encroachments and reducing informal practices in new cities, city authorities have launched a series of intensive campaigns to remove building violations, stop illegal construction on non-compliant lands, crack down on illegal water connections, and clear street obstructions across several locations.
Within this framework, the Sheikh Zayed City Authority, led by Eng. Marwa Hussein, continued extensive campaigns to combat construction violations and remove encroachments. These efforts resulted in halting and removing an illegal construction activity on Plot 25A in the Zayed Heights area (formerly known as Beit El Watan), in addition to removing—for the second time—the violation on Plot 64 in Neighborhood 2 of District 8, while taking all necessary legal measures against the violator.
Furthermore, four other violations were removed immediately to prevent any unauthorized construction activities, and ten decisions to stop illegal works at their early stages were enforced. Illegal works on Plot 109 in District 13 — Neighborhood 6 were also halted, while violations detected at Badr El Din Chalets on Plots 262 and 263 were removed after monitoring.

In New Assiut City, an intensive field campaign was launched by the city authority in the service areas of District 2 and the residential-commercial zone. The campaign focused on cracking down on violations related to public utilities, where illegal, unmetered water connections were detected. Legal measures were taken against the violators to ensure adherence to regulations.
Meanwhile, the New Minya City Authority, led by Eng. Mohamed El-Azouni, organized a large-scale campaign targeting the “Build Your House 2” area, the crafts district, and District 6. The campaign successfully halted several illegal construction activities and took legal actions to prevent any further violations.
In a similar context, Eng. Bassam Mohamed Fadl, Head of the Al Shorouk City Authority, confirmed the execution of a major nighttime campaign covering the Future Mall and City Mall 2 areas. The campaign successfully removed obstructions that were blocking pedestrian and vehicle movement in front of these malls, reopened internal passageways to enhance overall mobility, and took legal actions against the violators.
Additionally, the 10th of Ramadan City Authority launched a large campaign targeting the removal of street obstructions and encroachments in the Jordanian District. The campaign aims to preserve public order and enhance the overall quality of services provided to citizens.
