Officials from the Ministry of Housing convened at the headquarters of the New Obour City Authority to follow up on the implementation of the land-legalization plan for areas recently incorporated into the New Urban Communities Authority, with the aim of accelerating progress and ensuring that new cities fully benefit.
The meeting was held under the directives of Housing Minister Sherif El Sherbiny, who emphasized finalizing procedures to regularize land ownership and protect citizens’ rights in the newly added territories.

The session was chaired by Eng. Ahmed Ali, Deputy Head of the New Urban Communities Authority for Real Estate and Commercial Affairs, with the participation of relevant officials to review the progress of the legalization efforts, assess challenges, and propose solutions to enhance performance and speed up the process while safeguarding citizens’ rights.
The meeting stressed the importance of adhering to clear timelines for monitoring implementation and enhancing coordination among various bodies, while taking into consideration social aspects and the rights of small landowners to achieve a balance between rapid execution and the public interest.
The meeting concluded with an emphasis on continuing daily follow-ups and intensifying efforts to finalize legalization procedures in support of the state’s vision to strengthen urban stability and comprehensive development in new cities.
