President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi emphasized that Egypt has lagged behind in the field of information technology and digitalization, noting that the results would have been better if the state had begun its efforts 30 or 40 years ago.
This came during his reception of leaders from 52 local and international companies working in the outsourcing industry, as part of the Global Outsourcing Industry Summit hosted by Egypt in November 2025.

The President added that Egypt relies on human capital and is working to qualify young people scientifically and practically through educational institutions and cooperation programs with specialized global universities.
Sisi also stressed the importance of preparing youth to become active participants in this field despite the late start, expressing his hope to bridge the gap with rapid progress.
He pointed out that the world is moving toward digital transformation, and Egypt seeks to engage in it through ambitious plans and intensive efforts, though it requires deeper and more advanced levels to achieve its ambitions in this vital sector.
