New Qena City has witnessed a significant milestone with the opening of the new smart traffic licensing building, which provides modern, technology-driven services. The opening was attended by officials from the Ministry of Interior, the Traffic Department, as well as the Head of the City Authority.
This achievement comes as part of the state’s ongoing efforts to develop and enhance government services, in line with the directives of Engineer Sherif El-Sharbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, who aims to support projects that serve citizens and meet their daily needs.
Engineer Yasser Abdullah Ramadan, Head of the New Qena City Authority, explained that the new building has been equipped with the latest electronic systems to provide modern traffic services, including vehicle registration, license renewal, and periodic technical inspections.

The building is also equipped with an advanced security system featuring surveillance cameras and organized entry points to ensure smooth flow of procedures. Additionally, the building was designed to accommodate large numbers of citizens daily, with careful attention to comfort, efficiency, and ease of service.
As part of ongoing development efforts, the Head of the New Qena City Authority conducted an inspection tour of the city’s hospital, accompanied by Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Al-Sadiq, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Qena. The hospital, which will include 175 beds, aims to provide a high standard of medical services after the completion of equipment installation and official operation.
During the visit, the delegation reviewed the latest progress in construction works and the preparation of infrastructure and medical facilities in accordance with the highest standards of quality and safety. The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health praised the project, expressing confidence that the hospital will be a valuable addition to the healthcare system in Qena Governorate.
The project is expected to reduce pressure on existing hospitals and provide comprehensive medical services to residents of New Qena City and surrounding areas.
These projects represent an important model of efforts to strengthen infrastructure and services in new urban communities, aligning with the state’s ambitious vision to improve citizens’ quality of life and achieve sustainable development.
