Dr. Abdel Khaleq Ibrahim, Assistant Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities for Technical Affairs, and Dr. Ahmed Ismail, Assistant Vice Chairman of the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) for Planning and Projects, along with representatives from the Ministry of Housing, participated in the Future Hospitality Summit (FHS 2025) held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from October 27 to 29, 2025.
The summit is one of the world’s most prominent events specializing in the hotel, hospitality, and tourism investment sectors. It brings together leading decision-makers, experts, and developers from around the globe to explore the future of the hospitality industry and the best ways to enhance it, with a particular focus on transitioning toward smart and sustainable cities.
During the summit sessions, the Ministry of Housing delegation, together with City Edge Developments, presented a comprehensive overview of investment opportunities in the hotel sector across several new Egyptian cities. The presentations highlighted cities such as New Alamein and New Aswan, in addition to the redevelopment projects in Downtown Cairo — a remarkable example of revitalizing heritage areas and transforming them into prominent cultural and tourism destinations.

On the sidelines of the conference, several bilateral meetings were held with top developers in the fields of tourism, hospitality, and real estate development. Dr. Abdel Khaleq Ibrahim emphasized the importance of involving major specialized institutions in these sectors within the development projects across Egypt’s new cities.
He also pointed out the various incentives and facilitation measures offered by the Egyptian government to encourage investment, noting that the state adopts a modern approach aimed at simplifying procedures to support genuine development in these cities and welcomes international developers regardless of nationality.
The discussions also shed light on Egypt’s pioneering experience in developing new cities integrated with comprehensive tourism projects, as well as the government’s role in strengthening partnerships between the public and private sectors in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030, which seeks to achieve sustainable urban and tourism development.
Participants also discussed opportunities for collaboration with international companies and institutions in hotel management and operations, as well as in the adoption of smart technologies to enhance hospitality services and facility management. The discussions focused on improving the quality of tourism services and boosting the appeal of Egyptian cities as world-class investment and tourism destinations.
