The Ministry of Housing has announced the availability of electronic payment options for mechanical water meter bills in new cities under the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA). Payments can now be made through Fawry outlets and the MyFawry mobile application. This initiative comes under the directives of Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, as part of efforts to make bill payment more convenient for citizens.
According to the Ministry’s statement, citizens can pay through Fawry outlets by visiting any authorized branch with their account number, which is issued by the city authority after the bill is generated. The payment can then be completed using the specific service code for the corresponding city, either in cash or via bank card.

Payment is also available through the MyFawry mobile application. To do so, users simply log in to the app, select the New Urban Communities Authority option, choose their respective city authority, enter their electronic payment number, and complete the payment using a registered card within the app.
The Ministry further clarified that each city has its own designated Fawry code for water bill payments, which include:
6th of October City (571), Cairo Water (578), Damietta Water (565), Minya Water (5166), New Beni Suef City (5165), 10th of Ramadan (70103), New Sohag (70104), Marina (70107), May (70108), Sheikh Zayed (70110), Badr (70112), Assiut (70114), Borg El Arab (70115), El Salheya (70116), Obour (70117), El Shorouk City (569), New Nobariya (584), Sadat City (5740), Aswan Water (70113), and Tiba Water (70105).
