President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has approved the inclusion of the Foreign Ministry martyrs — those who lost their lives while carrying out their duties abroad — among the beneficiaries of the Martyrs’ Honor Fund.
This decision came during a meeting held on Tuesday between President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Major General El-Sayed El-Ghaly, Chairman of the Fund’s Board of Directors, and Major General Ahmed El-Ashaal, the Fund’s Executive Director.
Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, the official spokesperson for the Presidency, stated that the President reviewed the Fund’s annual report during the meeting. Major General El-Ghaly presented an overview of the Fund’s operational status, services, and initiatives during the 2024–2025 fiscal year, implemented in coordination with relevant state authorities.
The President praised the quality of services provided by the Fund and commended the efforts of those managing it, highlighting their continuous coordination with state agencies. He noted that these efforts have strengthened the Fund’s ability to meet beneficiaries’ needs with the highest levels of efficiency.

Ambassador El-Shenawy also announced that the President approved the launch of the “Egypt Is With You” initiative, which aims to support minors among the children of the Armed Forces and Civil Police martyrs, victims of terrorist acts and explosions, as well as minors with disabilities benefiting from the Fund.
The initiative is scheduled to be implemented starting January 1, 2026, under the patronage of the Central Bank of Egypt. The allocated funds will be invested by Misr Life Insurance Company, and payments will be made to beneficiaries once they reach adulthood.
The official spokesperson added that the President instructed the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to grant tuition exemptions and discounts to the children of martyrs and injured beneficiaries of the Fund in public, private, and national universities as well as private higher institutes.
Additionally, he directed the Ministry of Health and Population to provide free medical treatment in all ministry hospitals for civilian beneficiaries who are not covered by health insurance.
El-Shenawy further noted that the President was briefed on several Fund initiatives aimed at supporting martyrs’ families and other beneficiaries, in cooperation with Al-Azhar Al-Sharif and the Ministries of Youth and Sports, Local Development, Endowments, and Communications and Information Technology. These initiatives are designed to provide additional support and services to enhance the well-being of the Fund’s beneficiaries.
