President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a delegation from the World Council of Churches (WCC) headed by Reverend Professor Dr. Jerry Pillay, Secretary-General of the Council. The meeting was attended by His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark, as well as Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Egyptians Abroad.
The WCC delegation also included Bishop Henriette Hutten-Bedford-Strohm, General Coordinator of the Council, along with Metropolitan Vicken Aykazian and Reverend Marilyn Hedie Reilly, Deputy Coordinators of the Council.
The meeting was also attended by His Grace Anba Thomas, Bishop of El-Qusiya and Mir, and member of the Central Committee of the World Council of Churches, together with His Grace Anba Abraham, General Bishop of the Diocese of Los Angeles, member of the Secretariat of the Holy Synod, and member of the Central Committee of the Council.
