President Mahmoud Abbas of the State of Palestine received Ambassador Ihab Suleiman, the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Palestine, yesterday evening at the presidential headquarters in Ramallah.
During the meeting, the Egyptian ambassador conveyed the greetings of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to President Mahmoud Abbas and delivered an official invitation from President El-Sisi to attend the grand opening ceremony of the Grand Egyptian Museum.

President Abbas expressed his deep gratitude for this generous invitation, affirming his eagerness to accept it and to join Egypt and its great people in celebrating this historic and significant occasion.
Furthermore, President Abbas asked Ambassador Suleiman to convey his warm regards and great appreciation to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. He also extended heartfelt thanks, on behalf of himself and the Palestinian people, for the distinguished efforts made by the Arab Republic of Egypt—under the leadership of President El-Sisi—to achieve a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, halt the aggression against the Palestinian people, support their resilience, and prevent their displacement. President Abbas reaffirmed the depth of the fraternal relations between the two brotherly nations.
