President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi stated that Africa possesses immense natural wealth, vast capabilities, and exceptional human resources. However, it remains one of the regions most affected by global circumstances, which intensify crises and increase developmental challenges.
This came during his recorded speech delivered at the opening session of the fifth edition of the Aswan Forum for Sustainable Peace and Development, which commenced today, Sunday, under the theme: “A Changing World… A Moving Continent: Africa’s Journey of Progress Amid Global Transformations.”

President El-Sisi noted that the forum will address issues such as investment in infrastructure, enhancing strategic corridors, and empowering women and youth—especially as this edition coincides with the tenth anniversary of the launch of the Youth, Peace, and Security Agenda.
He also expressed his confidence in Africa’s ability to achieve the legitimate aspirations of its people in the fields of peace and development.
