Engineer Sherif El-Shorbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, held a meeting to monitor the progress of housing projects in a number of governorates and new cities, in the presence of senior ministry officials, representatives of the New Urban Communities Authority, the Central Agency for Reconstruction, the Social Housing Fund, as well as officials from various city authorities.
The meeting discussed the remaining stages of site coordination works for the “Sakan Misr” project in the Exhibition Land area in New Cairo, alongside reviewing the status of infrastructure works and setting a delivery plan for the units to beneficiaries, with a strong emphasis on adhering to the approved timeline for completing all works.
During the meeting, the Minister reviewed the delivery plan for the units within the “Housing for All Egyptians” project in New Aswan City, which includes 13,896 units allocated to low-income residents in the city. The status of implementing 672 units designated for middle-income beneficiaries was also followed up, along with reviewing the progress of various services in the city.
The meeting also highlighted the progress of implementing the presidential phase units of the “Housing for All Egyptians” initiative in Aswan Governorate, including infrastructure and service works within the project.
Updates related to the units of the “Housing for All Egyptians” project in Port Said Governorate were also discussed, in addition to following up on the progress of the low-income housing units in Sadat City.
The meeting included a review of the implementation status of the “Deyarna” project units in Sadat City and New Damietta, in addition to an update on the progress of the Sawary project in Alexandria and the delivery plans for its units.
At the end of the meeting, Engineer Sherif El-Shorbiny stressed the necessity of full commitment to the specified timelines to complete the remaining works, urging for an accelerated pace of execution to ensure the delivery of units to beneficiaries with the highest quality standards.
