Housing Ministry Showcases a Week of Tours and Decisions to Boost Urban Development

The Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, through its official page, released a video report summarizing the ministry’s activities between October 3 and 9, 2025. The report highlighted field tours, executive meetings, and service and regulatory decisions in line with the vision of the “New Republic.”

On October 9, Minister Sherif El-Sherbiny led a tour in East Cairo to follow up on the development of road networks, housing projects, and sanitation infrastructure. He visited projects such as “Sakan Misr” and a wastewater treatment station in New Cairo, and inspected cleaning and lighting works in Shorouk and Badr, directing authorities to promptly address residents’ needs.

On October 8, he discussed tourism-sector cooperation with the President of the Arab Tourism Organization, issued decisions to remove encroachments, and announced the handover schedule for Sakan Misr units through November.

On October 7, anti-slum campaigns continued, and land allocation lotteries were announced in New Obour City for Egyptians abroad under the “Beit El Watan” initiative.

On October 6, the minister met with the Real Estate Developers Association to enhance partnership efforts, and the ministry celebrated Arab Housing Day. New Sakan Misr units were announced for delivery, and the second phase of the “Your Home in Egypt” initiative was launched, alongside a financing protocol for low- and middle-income citizens.

On October 5, the minister chaired the Green Building meeting and congratulated Arab Contractors for winning international awards.

On October 4, new facilities for Egyptians abroad were announced via a digital financial wallet, and the minister inspected projects in West Cairo, including a key initiative to revive Historic Cairo.

On October 3, a new digital platform was launched to simplify services related to the Rental Law, reinforcing the ministry’s digital transformation strategy.
