Under the supervision of Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, intensive efforts continue to complete the development of main corridors in support of major national projects, foremost among them the West Cairo Monorail and the Grand Egyptian Museum.

Engineer Mohamed Mostafa, Head of the 6th of October City Authority, stated that the second phase focuses on repairing and upgrading the main lanes of the corridor, alongside the installation of guiding and warning systems and road markings to ensure the highest levels of safety and smooth traffic flow around the clock.
He added that specialized teams are working day and night to complete the works in parallel with the inauguration of the Grand Egyptian Museum, in line with the directives of the Ministry of Housing to accelerate the completion of infrastructure projects connected to major national developments.
For his part, Engineer Radi Khalil, Deputy Head of the Authority for Roads, explained that construction work has already begun according to a precise timetable, adhering to the highest technical and engineering standards in paving and planning operations to match the urban transformations the city is witnessing. He also stressed the importance of ongoing coordination with the General Directorate of Giza Traffic to facilitate movement during implementation and ensure the safety of citizens, with all necessary measures taken to achieve traffic security.
The 6th of October City Authority continues its commitment to implementing a full development plan for infrastructure, roads, and main corridors in support of major national projects, embodying the state’s vision of creating sustainable urban cities that reflect the aspirations of the Egyptian citizen and align with the urban development of the New Republic.
