Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi called on countries that have not yet recognized the State of Palestine to take this step swiftly, stressing that such recognition supports the two-state solution as the only path toward achieving peace and stability in the region.
During his meeting with Park Bum-ki, the Special Envoy of the President of South Korea, El-Sisi reaffirmed Egypt’s firm stance regarding the war in Gaza, while the two sides also discussed the latest regional developments.
The South Korean envoy delivered a letter to El-Sisi from President Lee Jae-myung on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. He expressed South Korea’s appreciation for Egypt’s supportive stance on peace in the Korean Peninsula and conveyed President Lee’s anticipation of meeting El-Sisi soon.

El-Sisi, in turn, expressed his eagerness to welcome the South Korean president in the near future to strengthen bilateral cooperation and further develop relations. He also praised the notable progress in ties between Egypt and South Korea in recent years, which has solidified Korea’s role as an economic partner for Egypt.
The president commended South Korea’s economic advancement and underscored the importance of continued support for Korean investments in Egypt. He highlighted the need to expand economic partnerships and encourage Korean companies to explore investment opportunities, capitalizing on Egypt’s stability, competitive advantages, and free trade agreements with Arab and African nations.
