6th of October City witnessed an incident involving the partial collapse of the internal staircase in building number (18), located in neighborhood (10) of the Sixth District. In response, Engineer Sherif El-Sherbini, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, instructed Engineer Mohamed Mostafa, Head of the City Authority, to act immediately and implement all necessary measures to ensure the safety of residents.
As part of the immediate procedures taken, the building was completely evacuated without any injuries or loss of life recorded. The residents were relocated to alternative housing units prepared to guarantee their comfort and safety. Vehicles were also provided to transport them swiftly to their new homes.

At the same time, the incident site witnessed a strong presence from Civil Defense forces, gas and electricity emergency teams, and ambulances. All security measures were carried out in full coordination with the Giza Security Directorate. The Head of the City Authority personally monitored operations on the ground, accompanied by the Security Director, Urban Police units, utility police, and all relevant executive bodies.
The 6th of October City Authority issued a statement reaffirming its full commitment to safeguarding the security and safety of citizens through rapid intervention in any emergency situations. The statement also noted that the situation is being closely monitored, with precautionary measures applied to ensure stability and public safety.
