Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, concluded his inspection visit to New Alamein City by holding a meeting at the city authority’s headquarters to follow up on the progress of a range of ongoing projects across different sectors, including projects in the Marina area. The meeting was attended by ministry officials, representatives of the New Urban Communities Authority, as well as the heads of New Alamein City Authority and the Tourist Villages Authority.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister emphasized the importance of the Northwestern Coast sector, describing it as one of the main development pillars receiving continuous attention from the political leadership. He noted that the projects being developed in the region represent promising opportunities that require intensive efforts from those in charge to maximize the use of available resources and ensure targets are achieved.
The Minister also called for close and continuous monitoring of all works underway in New Alamein City, with a special focus on accelerating implementation rates, particularly in housing and service projects. He stressed the necessity of adhering to the set timelines to ensure that projects are completed according to the established plans.
During the meeting, the Minister of Housing affirmed that he personally follows all projects in New Alamein City, Marina Villages, and the Northwestern Coast. He directed that regular reports be submitted directly to him, outlining progress rates, the status of housing unit delivery, and the provision of essential utility services.
The meeting reviewed the execution status of several projects in New Alamein City, including the delivery of housing units in Mazarine Compound, The Latin District, Beach Towers – Phases I and II, Downtown Buildings and Towers, and the Housing for All Egyptians project. Progress on the Heritage City and general site coordination works was also assessed.
Regarding the tourist villages, the meeting followed up on the Marina 8 Project, which spans 179 feddans and includes 917 housing units consisting of chalets and villas distributed across 243 buildings. Discussions also covered updates on infrastructure networks (drinking water, wastewater, irrigation, and roads), electrical works, and delivery plans for the units.
In conclusion, the Minister directed that precise schedules be established for all projects while reinforcing around-the-clock field monitoring. He also highlighted the importance of maintaining facilities, cleaning services, and public utilities to ensure that all works are completed within the specified timelines and to the highest quality standards.
