President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, in his discussions with Rwandan President Paul Kagame, addressed developments regarding the Palestinian issue and Egypt’s efforts to halt the war, increase humanitarian aid, and secure the release of prisoners. He emphasized Egypt’s rejection of any displacement of Palestinians and the importance of adhering to international legitimacy to establish an independent Palestinian state based on the June 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

The President highlighted the importance of supporting the Palestinian Authority as a key partner in any political process and reconstruction efforts, and welcomed the outcomes of the “Two-State Solution” conference in New York, as well as the recognition of the Palestinian state by various countries to strengthen the peace process.
The discussions also covered regional and international issues such as the situation in the Horn of Africa, the Sudan crisis, and African cooperation. Both parties agreed to continue coordination between Cairo and Kigali to support settlement efforts and ensure security on the continent.
