Assistant Minister of Housing: The Egyptian Real Estate Market is Entering a Stage of Maturity

He emphasized the significance of Egypt’s achievements in urban development within the framework of Egypt Vision 2030, which prioritizes the development of cities and infrastructure to improve citizens’ quality of life in alignment with sustainable development goals. He also noted that the state has begun to reap the fruits of a decade of intensive work, achieving notable progress toward realizing its ambitious objectives.

The Assistant Minister stressed that the main challenge facing the state is responding to citizens’ increasing needs, highlighting the resettlement of around two million citizens in safe areas that provide a better standard of living, alongside the development of economic and mid-level housing projects. He also underscored the crucial role of the private sector in accelerating urban development and expanding services in line with population growth.

He pointed out that the Egyptian real estate market has become more mature thanks to accumulated expertise, which requires the creation of innovative financing tools such as real estate funds to support developers and enhance their effective participation in development. He added that urban projects should achieve economic returns that contribute to building a diversified, knowledge-based economy.
