In response to the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi regarding the provision of suitable housing units for citizens and the enhancement of digital transformation in the real estate sector and its export, Eng. Sherif El-Sherbini, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, held a meeting with officials of the Official Egyptian Real Estate Platform. The meeting discussed the final preparations for launching the second phase of the Ministry’s largest housing project, which includes around 400,000 housing units distributed across stages. The second phase is scheduled to be launched at the beginning of October through the electronic platform.
During the meeting, the Minister emphasized the importance of the Official Egyptian Real Estate Platform as a pivotal step in achieving the state’s vision for digital transformation and improving services provided to the public and investors. He explained that the platform’s objective is to serve as a primary tool for marketing real estate projects domestically and abroad, in line with President El-Sisi’s directives aimed at providing innovative solutions, enhancing investment in the real estate sector, and expanding the base of beneficiaries.
Eng. Sherif El-Sherbini also highlighted the Ministry’s efforts in developing an integrated platform for exporting Egyptian real estate, considering this file a top priority for the political leadership due to the new investment opportunities it offers. He stressed the importance of establishing a precise system that includes the cataloging and classification of real estate units, identifying target markets, and setting a comprehensive marketing strategy that relies on electronic systems linking the Egyptian market with global markets.
The Minister added that the specialized team continues to hold regular meetings to complete the implementation of the Unified National Real Estate ID Project, which contributes to organizing the real estate market and enhancing transparency and accuracy of information. He confirmed that the new platform will provide an instant and comprehensive database that enables citizens and investors to access information easily and securely.
The Minister concluded his statement by affirming the Ministry’s commitment to supporting President El-Sisi’s vision of providing decent housing for Egyptian citizens and strengthening Egypt’s position as a distinguished investment destination regionally and internationally. He stressed that the Official Egyptian Real Estate Platform will be a comprehensive gateway reflecting the scale of achievements and opening new horizons for development and investment.
