Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, inspected the final development works of the Mohamed Bin Zayed Axis in New Cairo, one of the most vital links between the city and the New Administrative Capital, in line with the President’s directives to enhance main roads.

The minister stressed the importance of maintaining roads in new cities, preventing waste dumping, and preserving investments to achieve maximum benefit. The development works included implementing asphalt using the FDR technique along a stretch of 6 kilometers with a width of 18 meters in each direction, with 80% of curbstone installation completed.

This technique is being used to meet quality standards and improve road efficiency according to the set timeline. In addition, works are ongoing in the Gardenia neighborhood in the Third Settlement, covering roads, sidewalks, and landscaping to enhance the urban appearance.

City Authority officials indicated that the development plan also covers other districts such as Andalus, Lotus, and Qaranfal, with regular maintenance follow-ups to ensure the preservation of the city’s civilized image.
