Dr. Sayed Ismail, Deputy Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, held an extensive meeting to follow up on the progress of drinking water and sanitation projects being implemented under the presidential initiative “Decent Life” in Minya Governorate. The purpose of the meeting was to ensure that the executing companies comply with the required procedures to complete the works according to the approved timelines. The meeting was attended by senior officials from the Ministry, the Holding Company for Drinking Water and Sanitation, the National Authority for Drinking Water and Sanitation, as well as the heads of the executing companies.
During the meeting, the status of the ongoing projects was reviewed. Dr. Sayed Ismail emphasized the importance of intensifying work teams and mobilizing the necessary equipment to ensure progress across all levels of the projects. He also stressed the significance of working simultaneously on all phases of implementation to achieve the desired results.

He further highlighted the need for continuous coordination between the Ministry’s affiliated entities, governorates, and local units to overcome any challenges facing project execution. He also called for the application of occupational safety and health standards at all sites currently under implementation nationwide.
The meeting concluded with Dr. Sayed Ismail reaffirming the Ministry’s commitment to implementing the directives of the political leadership to accelerate the delivery of drinking water and sanitation services to residents of villages across the country. These efforts fall within the framework of the presidential initiative “Decent Life,” which aims to improve citizens’ living standards and bring about a qualitative leap in the daily lives of rural communities.
