Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, held a meeting with ministry officials and the New Urban Communities Authority to discuss the regulations, standards, and guidelines related to advertisements on public roads and main axes. The aim is to maximize their benefits in accordance with Law No. 208 of 2020 regulating advertisements on public roads.
During the meeting, Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny stressed the importance of organizing and developing advertisements in a way that contributes to improving the urban and aesthetic scene, in addition to enhancing the quality of life for citizens. He confirmed that these efforts also aim to achieve environmental and economic sustainability for urban projects, while ensuring adherence to aesthetic and environmental standards that add cultural value to such activities.

For her part, Engineer Nefisa Hashem, Advisor to the Minister of Housing and Supervisor of the Housing and Utilities Sector, presented a detailed overview of the law. The presentation covered the establishment of the National Authority for Regulating Advertisements on Public Roads, along with its roles and objectives.
It also highlighted the main features of the law, including the rules governing the placement of advertisements and design standards that preserve aesthetic values. Additionally, the presentation reviewed general requirements to ensure the safety of road users and maintain smooth traffic flow, reflecting the ministry’s commitment to strengthening safety and achieving harmony between urban development and road use.
