As part of the Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities’ commitment—represented by the National Housing and Building Research Center—to strengthen engagement with the private sector and investors in the fields of construction and real estate development, a meeting was held by the Engineering Consultations Committee of the Egyptian Businessmen’s Association, attended by Dr. Mohamed Massoud El-Saadawy, Chairman of the Center’s Board of Directors.
The meeting aimed to inform engineering consultancy offices and real estate development companies about the latest updates related to the building codes issued by the Center. The Center also showcased the services it provides to the sector, including technical testing, design support, and guideline manuals.
Dr. Mohamed Massoud listened carefully to the attendees’ needs and feedback, which came from representatives of engineering consulting firms and real estate developers. He emphasized the Center’s ongoing efforts to address the evolving demands of the market and the expectations of investors.
Attendees expressed a strong desire to collaborate with the Center and benefit from its wide range of services, praising its scientific and research capabilities. The Center’s Chairman also discussed advancements made in its internationally accredited laboratories, which operate according to ISO 17025 standards, as well as the digital transformation of its service offerings. At the conclusion of the meeting, he expressed his eagerness to welcome association members for a visit to the Center’s laboratories, encouraging continuous communication and openness to proposed ideas and suggestions.
